Clinical Nurse
Heather serves as Dr. Decherd’s clinical nurse at his SAPSI office. She plays an integral role in the surgical process for patients. Heather works with patients as they book their surgery, and generally handles all patient needs through to recovery. This includes answering their questions and making sure all their medical needs are met. Heather’s quick-witted humor combined with her warm demeanor immediately help to put patients at ease. Whether it’s comforting a nervous patient, removing sutures or administering medication, Heather makes sure the surgical experience is as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Katy, BSN, RN
Clinical Nurse
Katy serves as Dr. Isakson’s clinical nurse in his SAPSI office. Her daily duties include guiding patients through the consultation process, preparing them for surgery in pre-operative appointments, and assisting Dr. Isakson in post-operative care. Katy is always willing to step in and help in any capacity needed in order to keep clinical days running smoothly for both Dr. Isakson and Dr. Decherd. Katy excels as a critical thinker with a huge heart and willingness to help both patients and staff alike. With nearly 20 years of experience in the field of nursing, she offers compassion, expertise, and an innate ability to connect with her patients.
Sarah
Practice Manager, Patient Coordinator
Sarah is the practice manager and patient coordinator at San Antonio Plastic Surgery Institute. She supports the physicians by managing the clinical staff and schedule, consulting with new patients and making sure patient’s questions are answered throughout the process. Acting as a patient liaison between the medical staff and the patient, Sarah brings with her over 20 years of experience in the field of plastic surgery. Whether it’s help with surgery preparations, questions regarding financing or questions about recovery, Sarah is ready to help patients in any way possible. Her goal is to make sure each patient is heard, is educated on their procedure(s) of choice and receives a top-notch experience.
Kelsey
Business Manager, Clinical Support
Kelsey serves as business manager and helps to support Dr. Decherd, Dr. Isakson, and staff during busy clinic days. Kelsey helps to maintain monetary records, acts as accounts receivable, and also assists patients with scheduling. She ensures all administrative tasks are handled in a timely manner and helps to keep clinic days flowing. As part of the SAPSI team for over 7 years, Kelsey is a “jack of all trades” and plays a tremendous role in the practice both administratively and clinically.
ALAINA
Front Office Coordinator/Receptionist
Alaina oversees the day-to-day operations for the very busy front desk at San Antonio Plastic Surgery Institute. Whether it’s answering phones, greeting patients upon arrival, scheduling surgeries, organizing and updating patient files, or anything that may be thrown her way, Alaina is always ready to help. With an extensive background in cosmetology, Alaina has always been drawn to the aesthetic world. This, combined with her very strong organizational skills, calm demeanor and love for a bustling work environment, makes Alaina a stellar fit for her position.
Anique
Front Office Coordinator/Receptionist
Anique is responsible for the very busy front office here at San Antonio Plastic Surgery Institute. She can be found scheduling surgeries, handling payments, checking patients in and out, as well answering phones and assisting staff and patients in any way she can. Anique has an innate ability to successfully multi-task and keep a calm demeanor during hectic situations. With a background in cosmetology, her eye for aesthetics combined with her eagerness to help others makes her an incredible asset to the SAPSI team.
CALLIE, CST
Certified Surgical Tech, Operating Room Director
Callie is a certified surgical technologist and manages the day-to-day operations at Sunset Road Surgical Arts, Dr. Decherd and Dr. Isakson’s private surgical facility. Callie not only maintains a sterile field in the OR, she also makes sure our physicians are well equipped with all necessary supplies for each surgery, coordinates staff schedules and makes sure there is a smooth transition between cases. Callie possesses over 28 years of OR experience, along with a strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail. Her North Carolina roots can be heard in her voice, and her “get it done” attitude shines through in all her professional endeavors.
