Procedure: Tummy Tuck

This mother of 2 was unhappy with her loose skin and stretched out abdominal muscles following pregnancies. She was referred to Dr. Michael Decherd for evaluation. During her consultation Dr. Decherd recommended a full abdominoplasty, or tummy tuck. During the surgery, Dr. Decherd found the patients muscles were separated 7-8 cm. He repaired this and removed her excess skin. He finished the procedure with a small amount of liposuction to smooth the areas around her hips. The photo shows her fully matured scar. (It can take 12-18 months for scars to fully mature.) The patient was ecstatic with her results and feels more confident!
