Procedure: Tummy Tuck

This woman in her 30’s had had 3 children. She sought improvement of her abdominal contour.

She had a loose hanging pannus (skin flap). Although slightly overweight, we thought she would still benefit from the procedure.

At surgery 3577 grams of tissue was removed (almost 8 lbs) and her fascia was sewn up 12-13 cm (quite a lot).

Postoperatively she developed a small infection, but this cleared up with antibiotics.

At postop 7 months she was down 12 pounds and had lost 9.5 inches in circumference at her belly button. Needless to say, she is very happy.
