Overview
Aging can cause the face to lose laxity and volume, resulting in sagging skin, wrinkles, and fine lines. San Antonio Plastic Surgery Institute offers a variety of injectable fillers in conjunction with The Heights Med Spa to help reduce the visible signs of aging. An injectable filler is a non-surgical procedure that adds volume under the skin to create a smoother, younger appearance. When combined with treatments such as BOTOX®, patients are able to experience a “liquid facelift” without surgery. The Heights Med Spa operates under the direct supervision of Dr. Decherd and Dr. Isakson to ensure that each treatment is administered with the highest degree of safety and expertise. The various injectables can be discussed in detail during the consultation.

BOTOX
BOTOX is the first and only FDA-approved treatment to temporarily diminish moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines. With minimal downtime, BOTOX delivers subtle yet powerful results that can help you look years younger.
BOTOX is probably one of the most popular nonsurgical facial cosmetic procedures in the U.S. today. It is used by both men and women to treat:
- Crow’s feet
- Horizontal forehead furrows
- Vertical frown lines between the eyes
BOTOX can also be used to treat excessive sweating and assist with migraines.

During/After the Procedure
Prior to treatment, the practitioner will assess various aspects of the face and make marks directly on the skin to note where the injection sites will be. The face will be cleansed and a local anesthetic will be applied to help numb the top layer of skin. Using a syringe with a fine needle, the filler will be injected into the marked areas until the desired fullness has been achieved. Most patients are pleased with their results. While this will vary by filler product, most will produce results lasting from 3 months to a full year.
