    Following weight loss surgery, this 30 something patient worked extra hard to shed over 150 lbs! She was eager to show off her hard work and get rid of her excess skin. She sought out the expertise of Dr. Matthew Isakson to help her in the final stretch of her weight loss journey. After consulting with the patient, Dr. Isakson suggested a fleur-de-lis abdominoplasty to address her excess abdominal skin. The patient was less concerned with scars and had a strong desire for a sleek contour under her clothes. He also suggested a breast reduction to lift, reshape and downsize the breasts. During surgery the patient’s abdominal fascia was sewn up 8 cm, excess skin was removed, and her breasts were reduced and lifted. After losing around 100 lbs., her skin had lost elasticity, and her implant pockets and abdominal wall had been stretched out. After consulting with Dr. Decherd, she decided on a full abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) and an implant exchange. Every patient has different goals, and she was pleasantly surprised that a breast lift wasn’t imperative for her to achieve her goals for her breasts. Dr. Decherd switched her implants from saline to 485cc high profile silicone gel implants. He was able to work on the inside of the breast pocket to raise the implants for a more youthful look and better cleavage. He plicated her abdominal wall 8-9 cm and removed excess skin. She is very happy with her results and so is Dr. Decherd!
