About Dr. Decherd
San Antonio cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Michael Decherd, is a fourth-generation Texas doctor who chose plastic surgery because he enjoys helping people look and feel their best. He believes when patients make the decision to have plastic surgery, they take a personal journey, which he considers a privilege to take with them. During his consultations, Dr. Decherd educates his patients on the many options that are available, and then works to provide them choices in a pressure-free environment so they can come to a decision with confidence.

Education and Training
Dr. Decherd achieves optimal outcomes through a combination of meticulous attention to detail, a knack for listening, and extensive training. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, and then completed his internship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston for general surgery. Following his internship, Dr. Decherd went on to complete his residencies. In Galveston, he fulfilled his residency in otolaryngology head and neck surgery, and then he went back to the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center for his residency in plastic surgery.

Dr. Decherd believes that individuals who choose to improve their appearance through cosmetic surgery value themselves enough to make a life-changing decision. Over the years, he has witnessed how cosmetic surgery has benefited women, specifically those who have completed childbearing or achieved weight loss. He has transformed countless women with advanced techniques in breast augmentation, breast lift surgery, tummy tuck and liposuction. His celebrated “mommy makeover” creates beautiful results, and allows women to show their bodies with confidence and self-assurance. Dr. Decherd also specializes in eyelid and brow lift surgery, rhinoplasty and facelift procedures as well.
